Thanks for your help.

Hi guys,
I tried to re-install the NW2004s SR1 with different Oracle DVD source, same error.
I tried to re-install on Java 1.4.2.09 instead of 1.4.2.12, same error...
I added the Java Parameter -Xbootclasspath and I don't see the warning about the jre/lib, but the java server doesn't start, same error as before...
I found more usefull info on

HI,
Check if javamail.jar exists in /usr/sap/EZ3/DVEBMGS43/j2ee/cluster/server0/bin/ser
vices/javamail/javamail.jar and make sure perm issions to access it set correctly (640 for jar file, 750 for directory). If you have unzip utility available, try to open javamail.jar and see it you get any problems extracting it content.
Regards,
Mike

Hello David,
Thank you for the hint about IIOP service.
This services starts properly since I fixed the javamail.jar and the transactionext_api.jar files (Services javamail + ts)
Now my concerns are about the <b>timeouts</b> caused by the "<b>interface security</b>" and the
"<b>interface container</b>".

I found in note 928216:
- Fixed a bug that was causing error message "Error occurred while preloading classes of security provider from jre/lib/ext folder", which was occurring when starting up the J2EE Engine.
This is one of the fixes for SP9. There has to be a note somewhere about the spacific error, I just have to found it yet.
Hi Folks,
Java Server doesn't come up. these 3 services time out...
Timed out services:
Service shell > hard reference to interface security.
Service bimmrdeployer > hard reference to interface container.
Service MigrationService > hard reference to interface container.
Anyone experimented this? What can cause these time out? What enables the "interface security" and the "interface container" ??
Thank you

If your IIOP is not starting this may trigger what you are seeing . In the PDF of 2004s component upgrade guide, page 22, section 4.4 refers to the install of ADS on the system. This is manditory for 2004s. IIOP must be set to always start. in the configtool. There is also a line of code that has to be entered in the java parameters of the general tab. Once this is added, restart the engine/install.
Thank you,
The files jamail.jar and transactionext_api.jar were present with the right permissions bur were empty !! size = 0.
I recopy these 2 files from another Instance, and finally the Java server came up without error.
Great way to start my week-end
Bye

Hello Stéphane
please retest using the update Oracle DVD with the old JDBC driver.

Hello Kenny,
Thanks for the reply, but can you explain it in more details?
I'm in a middle of an installation, Oracle has been installed but not patched yet.
Do you suggest to start a new installation?
Or apply Oracle Opatches?
Or stop the Java Engine, a replace the JDBC driver, and restart it ?
What is the build number of the correct JDBC driver??
Thank you
