Installation Error - Instance 'ASCS30/dbciBFM' of SAP system BFM is in an inconsistent state

Hi All,

I am installing Netweaver 7.3 with Oracle - 11g and OS is HP UNIX. I am doing High Availability installation -

I started ASCS installation which got stuck in phase "Install Instance basics of ASCS30"

Error is -

Instance 'ASCS30/dbciBFM' of SAP system BFM is in an inconsistent state,the processes do not seem to have been started within the instance.

I checked all log files but this is only error I found. We also checked that ports 3630 (ABAP Msg Server) and 3930 ( Internal Message Server Port ) are not used by any other services.

Please suggest me possible reason of this error.

Hi Shivam,

You can try logging in the system through OS level and try to start the instance from their, if enough files are installed.

The error to me seems like it has to do something with a missed prerequisite. Did you run prerequisite checker and got any warnings?

Let me know the result and warnings if any.
