How to remove old stock in transit from SAP

Dear Friends,

I am having basis question.

1)      Created STO (Qty-100)

2)      Created GI -641 (Qty-100)

3)      Created GR-101 (Partial Qty)

4)      So stock in Transit Now

5)      Created Delivery (Qty-100)

6)      Now my question is –(a) how can I remove this stock in transit?. (b) Is it the right way to remove now stock from transit though that STO’s delivery done.

Why don't you post simply a second GR for the remaining qty (which is in stock in transit) and handle it after that (send it back, scrap it, physical inventory difference, etc.)?

(mvt 557/558 were designed to manage rounding differences - see OSS note 392205)

(a) how can I remove this stock in transit?. 

We can not remove stocks directly from stock in transit.

We can use  557 - Issue from stock in transit (adjustment posting),  but we need to post it w.r.t cost center.

It is advisable that first transfer the stock from stock in transit to any sloc, then you can do stock lost. Please check whether you have any customize mov type for this as in our case we use Z05 (customize)

(b) Is it the right way to remove now stock from transit though that STO’s delivery done.

As per business,  it is not a right way to do the stock lost, but if you can neglect the minor difference, then go ahead.
