Erorr on SBP patch in oracle 11.2.0.3

Hello there,

We are getting error while applying Oracle SBP patch set as below -

OPatch failed with error code 73

The Opatch is failing. Is anybody has faced similar issue before...? 

Any suggestion on this error please

Hello All,

we have managed to remove error-  OPatch failed with error code 73

Solution -when we done the SBP patching on AIX we never shutdown the listner just shutdown database. But I think in Linux we got error in SPB patch application. So in Linux we need to shutdown oracle listner and it solved most of the errors..

nice to hear that, issue is resolved..

You have to keep in mind for future perspective that ...

Database should be down and Oracle services must be stopped before apply the oracle patches.
