Certificate processing create, assign, print

Hello Experts,

I understand creating a certificate profile

as well as printing a certicate

I don't understand the assignment process in the middle.

Can you explain how the three are linked?  The actual steps to assign are the most puzzling.

Hi

You have to create a certificate profile using TC : QC01 - in this you will create the certficate profile and

certificate type. Once created you have to release the certificate. Attach the MIC's with your choice of

restriction type for inspection lots.

In TC QC15, you will assign the certificate profile with key combination of Material/customer,Material

group /Material Group. You have to give the material and the profile created in qc01 and it version.

Without assigning you will not be able to print the certficate

Yes as Mr.Anup told, if you any particular certificate profile with respect which you want to print the certificate, you have to make the assignment in QC15 transaction.

Hi Verrazano,

Apologies but really not sure what exactly you're looking at? 🙂

- You create a Certificate Profile using QC01.

- You assign a layout (Standard/Custom ABAP program) in certificate profile which defines how to print certificate values & in which part of layout.

- And then you print certificate by selecting Certificate Profile.
