adding characteristics to PlanningObjectStructure afterwards

Hello Experts,

one question please:

Is it possible to add a new characteristic to the Planning Object Structure afterwards?!

I think i have to deactivate the PlanningObjectStructure and make new characteristic-Value-Combinations.

Are the entrys in my planning-tableau gone?! i guess they are (interactive planning /SAPAPO/SDP94)

Holger,

You are right.

You have to deactivate the POS and re-create CVC's. The planning area data is deleted when you deactivate POS. So you have to create CVCs again and re-load the data to the planning area.

Just ensure that the new characteristic you included in the POS is available in the Infocube if you are creating CVC's wrt an Infocube. This is the reason why you should always take back up of your planning area to another BW cube. You can also loose planning area data for several other reasons.
