I am not able to understand the difference between Standard Attribute View and Time Attribute View .As I am clear up to how to create both the views and also what is standard attribute view .So Can anyone please explain Time Attribute View with a real time example.
Hi Ravi,
In general, the time attribute view would normally be created based on time dimension table(_SYS_BI.M_TIME_DIMENSION):
or fiscal calendar table (_SYS_BI.M_FISCAL_CALENDAR):
In normal business case (for ERP system), it would be common to use the time attribute view to build analytics or reporting in accordance to the calendar defined using ERP Fiscal Calendar tables.
Additionally, you can also create hiearchies for time attribute view (Refer to page 9-10 on HANA Modeling guide: http://help.sap.com/hana/hana1_model_en.pdf).
For reference, you can check Neha Singla's documentation on how to generate time data and example on how to build time attribute view in SAP HANA:
http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-25977

Hi ,
Time attribute is based on time period. for eg.if you have a date filed in your views and you want to calculate the aging ( no of years ) based on the date filed's they this calculated attribute you can call as time attribute.
