Reg: SRM System Configuration

Hi Configuration Experts,

Need some big time help from you guys!!

I worked as a Support Consultant and I have no idea on Configuring/ Implementing. I was given a Mammoth task of configuring the SRM system.

Below are the System Details:

Component version - SAP SRM 7.0

System Components:

SRM_SERVER- Release - 701

SRM_PLUS - 701

ECC/ Backend Components:

SAP_APPL ( Logistics and Accounting) - 603, Level 003.

Can you please let me know If the SRM 7.0 and SAP ECC EHP5 are compatible?

Is it a must to have a PI system for the Integration?

Also, would like to know all the Integrations that are needed apart from the RFC connections.

All I need to do is run a simple Self Service procurement Scenario on the System. Not sure how far I am going to succeed.

This is an Urgent assignment for me to prove myself. Please help me out.

Hi,

SRM 7.0 is compatible with ECC 6.0 EHP 5.

You can use PI to do the connections from SRM to ECC as it's possible from ECC EHP 4. But I think it's not mandatory.

You should look for configuration guide & then configure. It will help you allot.

Can you help me finding the Configuration Guide?

I guess it is different from the 210. Do i search for the Configuration in the SAP Service and Support?

Hi,

Yes. It's different from 210.

You should log in to SAP Service Market Place & traverse path

Release & Upgrade Info->Installation & Upgrade Guides->SAP Business Suite Applications->SAP SRM.

Select appropriate SRM version.
