Portal Session Parameters

Hello Experts,

Can you please clarify what is the difference between below 2 parameters:

1. NWA-> Java System properties-> Services-> Web Container: Global_app_config/session_config/sessionTimeout

2. NWA->Application module -> irj -> Session Timeout

We changed the first parameter using config tool -> servlet_jsp, and set it to 480 mins and restarted the server.

Now first in NWA, first parameter value is displayed as 480 mins but the second value is still blank.

a. What is the exact meaning of these parameters? How shall we test if we change any of these parameters?

b. Will there be any impact if we make first parameter value= 480 mins= 8 Hrs which is same value of our security session (logon ticket) expiry?
