SAP ME Clients

Hi Experts,

After going through the Installations & master guides for ME 6.0 I have learnt that SAP ME Client is an optional sub component of ME 6.0.

I tried looking up the help and the How to guides to get some more info on this component but drew a blank.

Can you please point me to the resource where I could get some details on the "SAP ME Clients" ?

Hello Udayan,

You use ME Clients to run ODS and archiving scripts. So, I would suggest that you check relevant guides:

ODS Setup:

ME Clients comprises ODS, Archiving, Labor Rollup, Xchange (Data Exchange), Alarm Cleanup (Events) and Failure History Extract (NC). There features are mentioned in the corresponding How-To guides(somewhere implicitly).

BTW this features are not new, so you can use the description of the setup from the guide of previous release available at SMP - ME 5.1.3:

Hi,

I wanted to know more information about SAP ME clients. To check whether we would require that for our project and all..

I tried accesing the two below links but that page is not opening..it seems it is corrupt.

The second link is correct, and if you cannot open it, it is likely you are not authorized to access this

document which is hosted at Service Marketplace actually.

Thanks Sergiy for 'ODS setup' link.

Though i have market place login credentials i am unable to access the second link. It is giving me the message "

Error Message - Service not available."

One more thing related to databse setup..Is there any guide giving information about WIP database setup? I didnt find any information regarding it anywhere.

All the information needed for "WIP database setup" can be found in the SAP ME Installation Guide @ SMP, and in SAP Notes 1405260, 1405260 and 1569390.
