Error in HANA View

Hi All,

I am getting a error while trying to activate a new view or rying to do a data preview on the activated view.

Error while Activating a view:

Repository: Failed to execute SQL statement;transaction rolled back by lock wait timeout: Lock timeout occurs while waiting RECORD_LOCK of mode EXCLUSIVE:n at ptime/storage/tm/translock.cc:110 in query: SELECT number FROM _sys_repo.nriv WHERE domain=? FOR UPDATE

Hi Nagaraj,

Can you please check in M_RECORD_LOCKS view for any locked transactions. Ideally it should not happen unless any of the session ended abruptly. The locks should have been released.

Also check M_BLOCKED_TRANSACTIONS for any details.

I dnt have access to the above tables .

Is there any other way to find this out.

Hi Nagaraj,

2 options:

1) Please ask the administrator

2) If you also have BW on HANA on the same machine, then you can go to DB02 -> SQL editor and access the tables.

Ravi,

I can execute the SQL but couldnt activate/Data preview the Information models.

SQL is accesing the same schema and Tables which my Information models is accesing .
