BADI... there is no standard strategy supporting this. "Best fit" would only work by going through the bins in a sequence from smallest to biggest (using a capacity check with the weight) and simply finding the first one which can take this weight.
Does this mean, we have to assign the weigh factor to every bin? Can we maintain a custom table with all bins, their maximum allowed weight and their ocupied weight?
yes, you maintain the max weight for each bin in the bin master data. The occupied weight is calculated automatically. You don't maintain a custom table.
