BW update(7.01->7.30) problem with WEBCUIF

Good time of day!

I tried to update my product(!) BW system to NW7.3 version.

Development and Test - updated successfuly. And two weeks ago, they had not had this problem.

Start from 7.00.

7.00->701 --- success.

7.01->7.30 -- now

Now on PREP_EXTENSION/SUBMOD_EXTENSION_NEW/ADDON_QCALC:

fromSPDA_ADDONQCALC.LOG:

WEBCUIF....

This component does not have to Develop and Test, and without it all went well.

From log "SPDA_ADDONQCALC.LOG" of update for Test:

3 ETN262    Calculating queue part for add-on "SEM-BW" rel. "634"

3 ETN490 Use the Add-On installation package "SAPK-634GGINSEMBW" (type &4"AOX") for Add-On &2"SEM-BW" rel.&3"634"

3 ETN365    Consistent queue part for Add-on "SEM-BW" rel."634" was calculated

3 ETN262    Calculating queue part for add-on "ST-A/PI" rel. "01N_710BCO"

I read the note Note 1539356 - Upgrade to NW 7.3 with SEM-BW, FINBASIS, SAP_BS_FND, WEBCUIF, and adding an indication of where packages are not helping to solve the problem by placing the component with the update. And I do not want to put this component

Can someone help me?

Hi,

As from the note you mentioned:

• WEBCUIF 730 is required in the target release.  The following cases are possible:
  • WEBCUIF 700 is already installed in the source system; the upgrade to WEBCUIF 730 is included during the upgrade.
  • WEBCUIF 700 is not yet installed in the source system; the installation  of WEBCUIF 730 is performed during the upgrade.

So, in your upgrade - is WEBCUIF already included? The Add-on selection screen from your last post was not showing WEBCUIF, hence maybe you could check if the same is included in the upgrade.

DVD 51040274 from note is available in download directory(and unsared in EPS/in). And WEBCUIF does not present in Addons

Hi,

Did you managed to find a solution for this?, we are also facing the same issue. We have done the development system upgrade without any issues, ie without installing WEBCUI, but while upgrading the QA we get this error.

Good time of day!

I am install this component on development and test (730 version), and 700 version on product.

Then regenerate xml file and restart upgrade.

Now 7.30 work fine.

Thanks for the reply, So you installed WEBCUIF?, our concern was we did the upgrade on our DEV without installing WEBCUIF, so why its stopping in QA?

Yes, WEBCUIF.

I did upgrade on DEV and QA, problem appear olny Product.

Why? May be dependences is changed 2-3 week ago. But this is just my guess

did you manage to solve this issue? I have the same problem, dev upgrade was fine and now QA complains about webcuif...xml was generated at the same time for all systems

Did anyone resolve this issue? I am facing the same problem. I have also extracted WEBCUIF 730 in EPS/in. still I am getting the same error.
