MSSQL- Log File Rewritable or Not

Hello  All,

One of our client has SAP Ecc6.0 installed on MSSQL 2005

We are facing some performance issue and we found that the there is no free space on the drive where we have placed the log file.

I just want to ask like MAXDB can we make log file re-Writable.

Server information

Operating system: Win 2003 Ent. Edition Sp2

SAP version: ECC6.0

database: MSSQL 2005

Please advice ,Log file is increasing by 1 gb / DAy  and we cant merge  more size into this drive

Use the steps outlined here to shrink the log file and manage the size going forward: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/873235

Hi Jake,

Thanks for reply can you help me in one more  scenario

My client wants to  Move the same server from Win 32 bit to Win 64 Bit OS

so that they can upgrade the hardware of the same server.

Can backup of 32 bit system will support to 64bit SAP version

Please share your Ideas

It will be a homogeneous system copy: Note 960769 - Windows: Migration from 32-bit to 64-bit (x86_64)
