RFC not maintained for System monitoring for Solman 7.1

Hi,

we have configured the managed system and all the RFC's are working

fine but when i an trying to configure the system monitoring it has not

captured the RFC destination for the systems.

I have tried using the documentation steps for as below:

If no destinations are maintained:

1. Call transaction SMSY.

2. Choose under 'Systems' the systems for that you want to create the

RFC connections.

3. Choose 'Generate RFC connections' in Tabstrip 'Clients'.

4. Mark the checkbox 'Assign RFC Dest. for System Monitoring'.

5. Save your changes.

6. After the generation of the RFC connections to all monitored systems

return to this step 'Check CCMS connectivity' and press the 'Refresh'

Button, if you did not restart the 'Setup System Monitoring' after

performing step 5.

we are using Solman 7.1 SP5 and hence SMSY is not enabled and i am not

able to find the similar steps in LMDB.

Need you assistance in getting the same activated ASAP.

Hi,

Go to your solman admin workcenter -> solutions -> click on the soln -> openration setup -> system monitoring setup -> then there you can create to RFCs like collect and analyze

The steps specified takes me to the same place of solution monitoring. Where do i find the assign the correct moniting RFC.

Hi ..

If you double click on the blank space then it will take you to one more screen where youc an generate the RFCs.

Hi Jagadish,

I have tried double click on the black space but it is not working, instead a double click on S40 (solution manager - central monitoring system), takes me to RZ21.

How do i create the RFC's from thier all the systems.

when i try creating an entry it is not saving (not working)

Also most of the other systems are either pointing wrongly or have not update new systems.

Is thier a simple job or process to update the details from managed systems?

Hi.

In the 2nd screen.. Once you fill the details and save it those RFCs with Collect and Analyse will be generated...These RFCs will be used.

I have put all the vaules in the RZ21 screen and tried to save but it is giving below error

I have also manually created the RFC for collect and analyze, which is working fine.

But when i try to save the data in RZ21, it is not working. any reason why?

It is fine working as guided by you. Guess one system had some connectivity issue and hence was not working.
