Hi All,
We have installed solman 4.0. I want to copy client from 000 to new client. I created a client 400 by loging on to client 000.
But when i tried to login to the new client 400 using sap* and password as pass, its not accepting..
Can anyone please help me..
Thanks in advance,
Sailesh K
HI Shilesh,
Please change the parameter login/no_automatic_user_sapstar= 0
If the user master record belonging to user SAP* is deleted,
it is possible to re-log on with SAP* and initial password PASS.
SAP* then has the following attributes:
- The user has all authorization, as authorization checks
cannot be executed.
- You cannot change the standard password PASS.
Using profile parameter login/no_automatic_user_sapstar,
you can deactivate the special attributes of SAP*.
Default value: 0
Who is permitted to make changes: The customer
Limitations for operating systems: None
Limitations for database systems: None
Other Parameters Affected or Dependent:
The profile parameter login/no_automatic_user_sap* supported in
SAP Releases 3.0 and 3.1 no longer have any effect.
Valid entries, formats, areas : 0, 1
0: Automatic user SAP* is permitted
1: Automatic user SAP* is deactivated
Cheers,
Shaym

Shailesh ..
I recall that there are two clients 000 and 001 . you need copy user master from client 001 in SM4.0.
Please try this out .. this is also perhaps written in the manual .

Rahul

Hello Sailesh,
changing the parameter login/no_automatic_user_sapstar to 0 will solve your problem.
A system restart is required for changes.
