Hello NWDI Guru,
We are using NWDI 7.01 and having problem with SLD url, NWDI is not allowing us to specify difference external SLD servers for each track. If we specified the external sld server for one, all other tracks will also changed to the same sld server url. Please let us know if you can help us.
Thanks for your time,
David
Hello David,
why do you want to specify the URL of SLD per track?
For NWDI there is always only 1 SLD defined, and that is defined not per track, but for the entire NWDI domain, meaning that each track will use that very SLD (the configuration I mean is in "CMS webui -- Landscape Configurator -- Domain Data").
On client side, in NWDS the situation is similar (on nwds 70X: in NWDS preferences -- development configuration pool) you specify 1 SLD and by this you basically point out an NWDI domain that has bunch of tracks, and you can select from those when you intend to import any of them into your NWDS. If you want to import tracks from a different NWDI domain (using its sld url) then you have to change the development configuration pool in NWDS, and do the sync. If you need again the other environment, you need to change again the devconfig pool settings, and so on. In NWDS 70X there is no other way to do this.
What you can specify per track can be seen in "CMS webui -- Landscape Configurator -- Track Data". Example: you can specify separate CBS and DTR per track, but notice, not the SLD.
If you change the SLD URL on the mentioned domain data tab then there are couple of consequences you have to deal with.
This case please review the note before: "#1031984 - Changing the SLD in the Change Management Service (CMS)"
I hope this helps.
Best Regards,
Ervin
