Cross docking, drop shipment or from stock

Hello Everybody

Does such function exist in SAP: When Sales Order is generated, the system determines automatically how to supply the order.

There are several variants:

1. From stock. Goods are delivered from our stock to a customer.

2. Cross docking. Goods are delivered from a supplier to a customer through our stock but without storage.

3. Drop shipment. Goods are delivered from a supplier to a customer directly without our stock.

Maybe a documentation exists about the topic?

You can customize the way system determines the item category upon order entry.

you can find several special Business Processes in Sales. Among them Third-Party Order Processing and

Individual Purchase Orders may be relevant.
