Error On Distribution Model in the Backend

Former Member

Hello,

I'm customizing our SRM and Backend to work together.

I'm in the part Distribution Model. It works on SRM but on my backend, when I want to "Generate Partner" I have a message "No messages have been defined for the selection conditions in the model" and nothing is done.

I don't know why...

I don't know if it is link but me RFC connexion that I created on SRM to link to the backend name for example ABC_020 and in the backend is one RFC is ABCMAND020. doesn't it matter if they don't have the same name?

Thanks in advance.

If someone has a cookbook or documentation about SRM can you please send me at "mes.pub@laposte.net"

Thanks twice.

I don't know if it is mandatory but i do always set the same technical name in both systems.

Kind regards,

Hi Marcin,

Thanks for the documentation.

One question about my problem :

In my backend I have only one RFC destintation to my SRM system. Do i need to create another RFC destination in R/3 which is for my R/3?

Hi,

No, you don't need to create RFC destination in R/3 to R/3 system.

You should have two RFC destinations:

- in R/3 system to SRM

- in SRM system to R/3.

really?

because when we generate partner in SRM we have to give 2 logical system and the same in R/3 but in R/3 I only find the SRM system....

Create logical system in both systems for R/3 and SRM.

example:

SRMCLNT100

and

R30CLNT200

In fact I have :

IN SRM :

2 logical systems =>SRMCLNT100 and R30CLNT200

Both are used in Backend Definition

In R/3 :

2 logical systems =>SRMCLNT100 and R30MAND200

But I don't use them...

Hi Eileen,

We have observed that without local RFCs i.e.

SRM to SRM

R/3 to R/3

the business objects (matl/services) don't get replicated as you can not configure the Middleware sites in SMOEAC.

Don't know whether it will help for Distribution model but worth trying

Hi DInesh,

Thanks for your answer.

I created local RFC but it doesn"t work better.

One question :

On my srm i create a logical system named for exemple ABC_200.

but on my backend, the logical system corresponding to my backend named ABCMAND200.

do you think that I have to use the same name?

thanks

I'm back with my error.

In fact now, my 2 systems have the same name for logical sytem and RFC connection but I still have the error when generating partner profile on my backend

Hi

In the ALE Distribution Model, you need to maintain Message type for the Sender and receiver systems.

As far as documents are concerned, will mail you the same today.

Hope this will help.

Please reward suitable points.
