Upgrade Oracle 9 to 10.2

Hi Community,

I have successfully upgraded an Oracle DB from version 9 to 10.2. Everything is running fine so far, and no problems encountered.

Only thing that looks suspicious to me, is when I check within SAP via "System -> Status" the DB Client Lib that is shown is OCI_920_Share. Shouldnt that be 10.2 now? Any clue?

OS is Windows.

Best Regards,

Kerem

Hi Kerem,

This is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about!

When you check the system status or disp+work -V, you see the to which Oracle client library the kernel is linked.

Kind regards,

Mark

Perhaps you need to update oracle client. For more info see Note 998004 - Update the Oracle Instant Client on Windows.
