archiving spool - get error "no such file or directory"

Hi @ll,

during archiving a spoollist I get the error

"no such file or directory"

"RSPO Error - RSPOEINTERN  Some other internal error  Some I/O error"

The needed file is not available (it's not created) but the system (SAPServiceSID) has all rights on this directory.

On another test system the same procedure works fine.

Has anybode an idea?

best regards

Where does your Archiving Objects Logical Destination directory points on server? Is sidadm and SAPServiceSID has r/w access?

To check if the dirctory is problem, please try it by changing the directory to a SAP directory like usr\sap\trans\data directory.

hello huseyin,

thanks for your reply.

I'd checked that the system user sidadm/sapserviceSID have enough rights (via se38 RSBDCOS0).

the directory should not be the problem. logical destination seems to be okay.

If I want to archive an output ( the document type doesn't matter ) than I get this error.

The queues (OAM1) are empty - so there must be another problem. The output has to be created in the queues and on the filesystem - but this creation fails.

Can you relive that?

Is there any error log/screenshot we can see?

BTW, here by archiving you're not mentioning the SARA TCODE archiving right? Are you keeping a copy in content server with/without archivelink. Can you please describe it a little?

Dear Huseyin,

thanks for your reply.
Sry for my late reply-last week was very busy.

I just want to archive a normal list/report-output - like

SM37 - search for all aborted Jobs
choose system => list => print => properties => general properties (changed to "print out immediately")
=> output options (changed storage mode to archive only)
Objetct type is set and ok - DRAW
Documenttype is set and ok - Z_DL_VCT (customer settings)
information - TTT (it doesn't matter)
Text - spool output

After that the spooloutput is generated and under sp01 I'll find the following issue:

SAP spool error log
=====================
Print request processing log
The operating system is reporting problems
Unable to open file \\SAPServer\SAP-Change\000000338300001.SID for writing (error 2)
Errors occurred processing this print request
There may be no printout

If I check the TC "OAC0" - content repository -
the CR is activ and works fine - so the connection from sap to our archive system works fine.
If I will take a look at the "OAM1" I could detect several entries under "asynchronous requests"
error => "File Cannot Be Accessed From This Application Server"

But note - the storage queue (cara) is still empty?!?!

So I have to make sure that this file is really created on filesystem (on the sap server) but I don't know where I
can set the right option or could check the settings - do have any hint for me?

thanks in advance
AB

... this issue is solved. I have re-newed the settings for the right management of the arch-directory. [But I still checked that the system is able to write/read from the arch-directory . => nevertheless now it works fine]
