Client wants to go with "Addition to Existing Stock" for a storage type but doesnt want to go for Capacity Check. Materials can be placed in different bins and there are different sizes of bin with in same Storage Type, another reason is there is no Gross Wt at Material Master level. How can we handle this scenario?
Thanks
Vikram
Hi ,
Is it putaway strategy u are talking or an Indicator.
U can go for manual or open strategy with an Indicator Addn to stk X .
Addn to stock indicator needs to be flagged in Material Master > WM 1 tab
thanks,

Solved with open Storage type and Addition to Existing Stock.

Hi,
Use the capacity check method as 'check based on material' in the strategy, then you can enter the maximum value in the material master which can never achieve to trigger the capacity check.

Hi,
when you use "Addition to existing stock" , system by default activates "capacity check", you can only avoid this by specifying very high capacity for bins in that particular storage type. Like you can specify "100000" as a capacity which you are not going to store in that bin, this will not restrict you from adding material in bin.
But, when you are using "Addition to existing stock" SAP assumes that bin is having some capacity and you can noty keep on adding material in same bin above capacity. This is standard behaviour, check why do you not want to go with capacity check.

I assume you can make use of material master -> WM1 view -> capacity usage field. Make this field as blank and check.

Try setting the bintype max capacity to zero which will allow unlimited capacity.
