Question about logging secondary NC-code

Hi,

We have in 6.0.3.4 setup the NC Client LOG_NC to:

- Can log secondary NC Code        = Checked

- Prompt to log secondary NC Code = Checked

We have an NC Tree hiearchy of

- TEST FAIL (failure)

  - COMP_WRO_ART_NO (defect)

    - COMP_CHANGED (repair)

When we are using the POD - Operation and press LOG_NC button the following happens

1) The NC Groups DEFECTS,FAILURES and ALL are shown but only FAILURES have NC Codes showing. We select FAILURES

2) The TEST FAIL NC Code is shown

3) We select TEST FAIL and log this NC Code

4) No question if we want to log secondary NC Code is displayed.

5)  Now, no NC Tree is shown and the only field available is NC_CODE where we only can see the FAILURE NC Codes

6) We press NC Tree button

7) Now we can see the primary NC Code and if we click that one the DEFECT NC codes show and we can log that NC Code

😎 When adding the DEFECT NC Code SAP ME now shows the question about if we want to log a secondary code.

9) We can add the REPAIR NC Code and the entire NC Tree is closed.

Have we done something wrong since the question about logging NC Code is only showing after we have logged the DEFECT?

In our version 5.2 environment we are getting the question both after logging FAILURE and after logging DEFECT.

Johan,

Please add NC_TREE activity as third one to Log NC button in basic Operation POD. This made the popup notification work for me.
