Hi,

The contract renegotiation process happens in SRM for SRM contracts only.

It has no relation with classic or extended classic scenario.

You have to trigger alrert management which trigger notification to users when contract is nearing expiry.

The purhchaser uses the renegotiation process to create bid invitation from the contract.

Please configure the follow on RFx transaction type to the contract transaction type.

Once the bids are received and accepted the contract is updated with with new price and validity.
