Hi Gurus,
Could anyone pls explain me the exact use of the tab <b>'Partition Field/Value'</b> in SAP MDM Import Manager...?
We have two parts Source and Destination Partitions along with Available and Partiton fields in each one. Could some one pls give me a simple explaination on the same?
Thx
Pavan
Hi Pavan,
Partition Field and values may be used for one of this purpose.
Suppose you have <b>Name</b> as a single field on destination side and you have <b>First Name and Last Name </b>on Source side.
If you have a requirement to combine these two fields on source side and then map to single field on destination side then partitioning can be used.
Follow these steps.
Select First name field on source side and go to Partition Field/Value Tab.
Then select Last Name of source side from the bottom pane (Source Patitions Available fields).
Click on Add button.
Go to Partition pane and select both these fields and right click to select <b>Combine Partitions</b>. You can specify your delimiter.
Now in MapFields/Values tab Select this partitioned field and map it to <b>Name</b>
field on destination side.
Thanks and Regards,
<b>Sagar Sonje.
