This is regarding the over allocation of Batch issue during Automatic Batch Determination that we discussed
Description of Issue :
Batch job runs every half hour in the night to create deliveries from open Sales order. Automatic Batch determination takes place at the time of delivery creation.
A batch ex :2085553 is picked up and assigned to deliveries which are created until the stock in batch gets exhausted. Now the next batch is selected for stock allocation.
Now the problem here is that after some gap of time (approx 4 hrs ) when the batch job is again run it is picking up the old batch : 2085553 which does not have stock and assigning it to delivery. Hence over allocation of stock is taking place here .
If you see the MMBE screen shot unrestricted stock is 0 ea but schd for delivery stock is 360 EA. 360 EA is the over allocated stock which does not exist
The information provided is NOT enough to suggest you a solution.
However, did you check the batch search strategy record (t.code VCH2)? Did you turn on ATP check for delivery item? Did you check t.code OVZ9 settings against delivery checking rule B? Did you check material master for negative stock is checked in sales/plant view?
Without these details, it is hard provide a suggestion to your issue.

Hi Shiva,
I have checked the VCH2 record and it is ok . Also Availability check is switched on for delivery item category. OVZ9 settings are also ok .Negative stock is also not checked. Moreover I would like to add that most of the time automatic batch determination is ok .Sometimes it fails and overallocation of stock is done for a batch.
