SAP kernel upgrade

Dear Guru,

I have come with an issue on sap kernel updation. I want to upgrade our sap kernel version from 701 to Basis 720/702. I have downloaded SAPEXE_300-10007272.SAR & SAPEXEDB_300-10007272.SAR from marketplace for our IDES system which is running on windows server 2003 operating system. After applied the patches i have got an error as sapcpe.exe could not be started whereas disp+work, igswd and message server are working. The console status is red and we are able to login the system. But no changes has come after upgrade it.

Please help me to sort out the issue.

Dear Samrat

1. Did you already have sapcpe.exe in your system?

2. Please check sap note 19466  Downloading SAP kernel patches - and update SAP Kernel as per suggested procedure.

3. If sapcpe.exe still fails, please provide log file from Instance work directory.
