Neither messager server nor application server are defined for system

Hi all,

we've got a cluster installation for an SAP PI 7.3.

We are facing this error on RWB : Neither messager server nor application server are defined for system

We are doing some cluster testing, stoping one node (one machine) and starting the other one. And the first time we start the node we get the error, but if we stop the server and start it in the same node, we dont get this error. It only appears when we move from one node to other. But as I told before, if we stoped it and start in the same machine, all works fine.

We have also notice that the technical system for Java Stack of PIP, in SLD the property URL: <hostname>:<port> doesnt refresh. Although we start the server in different nodes, it remains with the same value.

Do you have any idea about what can be happening?

Help is appreciated.

Thank!!!

Hi,

I faced a similar issue when trying to use "old" runtime workbench for "new" AEX based system.

If you have 7.3 JEE only, then kindly use NWA / message monitor for your activities.

Regarding SLD update, please check NWA / configuration / infrastructur / sld data supplier after switch, if it's still configured correctly. If you don't use virtual hostnames (which stay the same during the switch), you will get problems with every connection from and to PI after switch (just think of IDoc and Proxy senders to PI).

Regards,

Peter
