Hi ,
We have upgraded our SM system from 7.0 to 7.1 and now i am noticing that when i add a new entry as per :
http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/7485 , to PPOMA_CRM and save and go back in to PPOMA_CRM the business partner number does not get created automatically.
Please let me know if anyone knows why this is and if the functionality has changed with the upgrade to 7.1.

This is a known problem in SolMan 7.1,
Check if the SAP Note 1691224 can be applied,
I had the same issue and SAP asked me to apply the said note,

Support Team Determination via
Business Rule Framework plus
(BRFplus)
Please check the documents in teh SAP SOlution Manager 7.1 installation guides..
