File Size in PI 7.0

Dear Experts,

What is the maximum xml file size that can pass through PI 7.0 ?

How many maximum transactions we can accept in one xml. ?

Please help me for the same.

Hi Rakesh,

There is no limitation for the file size. But, it is not recommended with huge files because that impacts the system resources and performance.

Instead, perform chunking the message.

There is no specific size limit of xml file that can pass from PI .

It totally depends on few factors like  Hardware , network config .

Dear All,

Thanks for your input.

My Scenario:

I am picking an XML fiile from FTP , while processing, In Moni it is showing xml error. But, there is no error while opening in a XML editor or internet explore.

File Size is - 210 KB

Number of transactions per file is - 50 sales transactions

Please advice me to solve this.

Check the Trace in MONI, you would the cause of the issue.

Also, copy the payload and test in Message Mapping.

Can you provide XML file that you are trying to use?

Please check the correct it.

reImport your RFC structure .

Remove above the case and test with small size file.

Thanks for your support. I have checked the same file to open in Internet explore. It is in correct format. It is not showing any error in format.

Hi Pradeep,

This is only file get in error while processing. I have processed with 20/30/40 transactions and even with the 50 transactions. All are working fine.
