Hello Experts,

Can someone give me steps for creating authorizations for APO DP - I'd like to learn this activity and test some scenarios myself without assistance from Basis team. I already have created a user.

I have the relevant SAP notes but it does not have info on authorizations  outside of APO modules (such as BI , GUI functions, basis (BC) etc.).

Thanks for your time. That's exactly what I have done so far but mainly thru trial and error.

I have been able to get everything to a working state now.

Glad to know it. I was struggling too at the first trial, but I have to say the transaction is so well defined

except the part of the pencil "Change Authorization Data".

Hi SA,

The main transaction is PFCG, you can create a role, then move on from tab to tab.

A major stop is in tab " Authorizations", there you need to click the pencil "Change Authorization Data"

to change authorizations and generate profiles.
