Outbound IDoc Metadata issue - PI 7.3 Java Only

Dear Experts,

We're using PI 7.3 Java only. The scenario is extended IDoc to File, which was working fine. But, we've added a new field to an existing extended IDoc and only the new field isn't coming to PI. Any clue please?

Thanks

Joe,

Is your problem solved?

Can you share the solution, as we are facing the same issue?

Added new fields in extended IDOC segment, but PI - Java only is not relecting the same.

We bounced the PI box, which helped. But, its not the right permanent solution.

SAP confirmed node restart is the only solution available in PI 7.3 as of now and it has been taken care in PI 7.31 arleady.

Hi Agasthuri,

I created a message to SAP for which they replied '

The metadata for the IDOC is stored in cache that have to be updated

every time change in the IDOC type appeares. For now the only way you

can update the cache is by restarting all server nodes of the engine.

You may restart the server nodes one by one and not all at once.'

Hope that helps.

Thanks

Re-import the metadata into your ESR and check.

Hi Joe,

Try to re import the Idoc Type that is modified in the ECC in your ESR.

Go to SWCV, make it modifiable and then click on imported Objects , Idocs and then perform Import of SAP objects, and click on respective idoc type.

You can see the changed field in the new imported structure for your Idoc type in ESR.

Thanks,

Kalyan
