OBD2 transaction for making the supressed into required field in the customer master

I am trying to create  two fields ( tax number 3 and Tax number 4)  appear in the customer master.  I did go to OBD2 transactions and based on the customer account group i went to  general data , control tab and changed these two fields from suppressed status to required entry .Though these fields  were removed from the suppressed status to required entry they dont seem to be appearing on the customer master in the control tab.
