se61 zlogin_screen_info empty / changes lost

System language is English, I log in with English, too.

Went to se61, general text, changed zlogin_screen_info, saved, activated.

No change visible on login screen.

Reentered se61 - text looks unchanged.

Searched the forum, the suggestion is to delete the text and recreate it. I did this.

The deletion part worked - the logon screen is now empty.

Creating a new text does not work. zlogin_screen_info exists, but is empty. The logon screen is empty. Changing, saving, activating looks successful until reentering, then it is empty.

Any ideas?

There were som problems reported using word as an editor in SE61 similar to yours.

As in this post :

Thanks, it is actually a Word problem! When I use the non-Word editor it works just fine!

Hi,

Execute TCODE SE61

Change these settings below

Document Class -> Generat Text

Language-> English

Name->ZLOGIN_SCREEN_INFO

Click on Change

Now edit/add the text with your own information.

Click CTRL+S and Activate (CTRL+F12) when you’re done

Log off the SAP and login back, you will see the changes on the SAP logon information screen section.

Thanks

Hello,

As far as I understand from the previous posts :

- Logon language is english

- System language is english

Is the language chosen in se61  when maintaining the "general text" document class ZLOGIN_SCREEN_INFO english also ?

Regards,

Steve.
