TO for Delivery creating negative stock in 901

Business requirement is to error out when stock is not available in any Bin. Currently TO for Delivery is asking to pick stock from 901 interim storage and thus creating negative stock in 901. We need to make sure that system should error out when stock is not available in real bins and should never propose a pick from any interim storage type. Any help would be appreciated.

The error was tracked to Put-away strategy of stringent FIFO that picks up materials from all storage types including interim storage locations. I had to exclude interim storage locations via OMM8. The issue is now resolved. Thanks for your valuable insight and help.

Dear Hastan ,

Change your pick strategy and assign relevant pick face and try pick TO creation in foreground.

Send me screen shot of OMLY , pick storage assignment , foreground TO creation to resolve your issue at earliest.

Hello,

As per the standard behaviour of SAP, when outbound delivery is created while picking system picks stock from physical storage type & bin as per storage type search & moves to interim storage areas 916.When PGI is done stock moves out from 916.

As per your question you said system is looking to pick stock from 901, its is possible in case you have assigned storage type 901 in storage type search,.

Please change storage type search & remove interim storage type 901.
