Hi Experts,
One basic question:
If Planned Orders are created in APO then PDS explosion happens in APO during creation of Planned Orders. If these are converted in APO and ECC returns the Production Order number to APO -- then I understand that Data merges from ECC and APO but a specific question here is -- whether PDS/Prodn Version is referred again (or exploded) in either ECC / APO or both -- curious on this to know-- whether system goes back to PDS or simply references the data from existing Planned Order.
Will appreciate some help...
Hi GS,
Such a process is called "key completion". When the order goes into ECC, there will explode the PV so as to add the materials/operations that're planned in ECC only. However system will not explode PDS when the order with ECC number comes back in APO.
Best regards,
Tiemin

Hi GS,
Sorry but I've made a misuderstanding of your scenario here.
For order conversion, there is no BOM explosion and only data from the existing Planned Order are used.
You can have a look at SAP Note 490414.
Sorry for the earlier reply which is made out of context.
Best regards,
Tiemin
