Process chains with non existing variants

Hello,

after a system copy/refresh of APO consolidation system (from productive system)  all existing process chains have the following problem:

When clicking on the process chain following popup appears:

"Variant &00000000004801 does not exist"

When clicking on this popup (with button "OK") then a next popup occurs with the same message but another variant name.

After several clicks on these messages the process chain appears and I can run it. But how to delete these messages or these variants (which are not existing)?

The variants are not part of the process chains itself - so I do not know why these messages are appearing.

I tried to transport the process chains again from DEV-system (to overwrite them) but the messages with the variants appear again.

Can somebody help how to solve this problem?

Hi, We have a similar problem.

Trying to research how to resolve this issue.

Any help/pointers will greatly help.

Hi Heinz,

This is very common issue found after system refresh that variant does not exist.

Please ask your basis team to run BDLS to change all source objects to your QAS client.

As these variant belongs to your PRO client it need to be change.
