Netweaver PI 7.31 Installation issues with SLD registration

Dear experts,

I'm facing a problem I hope you could help me with.

We are installing a new Netweaver PI 7.31 dual stack system.

All the installation steps seems fine but when executing the  CTC Wizard-Assisted and Manual as told in the sap library.

The issue comes when the wizard tries to check if the users created in the SLD are properly configured. Although we have created them properly, the wizard is unable to connect giving the following error for all the users:

In the Trace you can find the follwing messge:

I've checked transaction SLDAPICUST and SLDCHECK with positive results

Can anyone help me?

Hi,

Check the following:

1. Go to the SLD - http://<host>:<port>/dir -> SLD

Log on as an administrator for AS Java and an SLD administrator.

2. Choose Administration

-> Settings

-> "Perform Role Mapping"

Hi,

I had the same issue,the steps i did to resolve the issue.

on the intial setup CTC wizard , It will ask for the setup of Local or remote SLD . I think you have chosen Remote SLD, in that case it will ask for the user id for SLDDATASUPPLIER and SLDCLIENT.

Make sure the user provided has the follwoing roles (SAP_SLD_ADMINISTRATOR,SAP_SLD_CONFIGURATOR,SAP_XI_ADMINISTRATOR_J2EE) .

I am not sure if the third role is mandatory , however it was configuring  XI framework so thought of giving that role as well.

Are you using a local SLD or a Central SLD? Check note #1309239 Configuration Wizard: PI NetWeaver initial setup for troubleshooting tips and tricks (especially if you are using a Central SLD).

Hi,

That was my first though but, no. None of the users are locked and their passwords are correct.

I'm also facing another error when trying to register at the SLD:

The error given in this case is: CIM_ERR_FAILED: Http response code 501: Not Implemented (Unsupported Protocol Version).

Did you recieve this error when the template was creating a business system

Step : Create Business systemh

In my case i have already created a Business system in SLD with CTC wizard,

I was running FQDN template and i recieved the same error.

so i am hoping to skip this step and move forward.

Any thoughts from your end.

it seems that PIAFUSER is either locked or does not have auth (role SAP_SLD_CONFIGURATOR)
