Copy configuration only from one client to our development client

Is there a way to copy configuration only from one client to our Development client.

I know you can use profile sap_cust

We have a dev client 310 where our programmers do their work and create transports.

If I do a client copy with sap_cust to our DEV client 310 what will I loose.

I do not want this client to be damaged or corrupted for obvious reason.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Joe,

you are on the right track - SAP_CUST is the stuff you need, but unfortunately it will not be sufficient for you, because SAP specifies less as customizing as customers would typically do :-((

I would copy the current client to a 777 client for reference and try SAP_CUST and as soon as you detect missing stuff grap this via transport from PRD or 777 - ugly, but you will learn what is missing for the next time )
