Oracle Patch set 10.2.0.4 on Solution manager error

Dear all,

I started to install Oracle patch set 10.2.0.4 in order to upgrade from 10.2.0.2. SMP instance our Solution manager which is on HP-UX 11.23

Successfuly installed the software 10.2.0.4 and after starting the comand for implementing the interim patches

/bin/sh $ORACLE_HOME/MOPatch/mopatch.sh -v -s SAP_102046_201012_HPUX64.zip there is an error :

Processing patch "SAP_102046_201012_HPUX64.zip!9352164"...(1 of 43)

Adding missing write permissions for patch copy target "/oracle/SMP/102_64/lib/libjox10.sl".

Processing patch "SAP_102046_201012_HPUX64.zip!9352164"...failed.

Reason: Cannot apply patch.

I found that "/oracle/SMP/102_64/lib/libjox10.sl" has 755 permission - it is enough, even I changed to 775 and stil the same error.

And also I found in the log file :

I searched for this mopatch-21120-12030-tmpdir folder and this is different what I can see in the forlder /oracle/SMP/SAP_102046_201012  mopatch-553-11025-tmpdir .

Then I started the @/oracle/SMP/102_64/sapbundle/SAP_102046_201012/catsbp.sql

and found errors:

Hi Ruzica,

As a first step, please try to extract 9352164 and apply the patch, manually. Then paste the error, here.

Secondly, rename "libjox10.sl" and try to apply the patch.

My big mistake 🙂
I forgote to shutdwn the DB and the listener.

After that it succeded.
