Hello Rajan,

As per SAP System Directories on UNIX /sapmnt is a physically shared directory. It can reside on NFS as well. Performance depends on NFS hardware, settings and mount options. For more information refer e.g. to Optimizing NFS Performance, NFS performance monitoring and tunin, ...

HI Adam,

your correct, the same directory is shared to Dev,Qty&PRD,(different servers)

if dev is down where /sapmnt primary location,

how will it affect other servers.

Thanks and regards

Helo Rajan,
/sapmnt/<SID>/profile, /sapmnt/<SID>/exe and /sapmnt/<SID>/global folders need to be shared between all instances of a system. Refer to 3.1.3 Configuring Network File System in the installation guide, e.g. in this one. Therefore if /sapmnt is not available, it will seriously affect all the systems which point to that NFS share. You need to make it highly available to avoid such issues.
Best regards,
Adam
