Dear All,
We have configured more than 100 systems for the monitoring functionality (CCMSPING, SMD AGENT, HOST CONTROL) of solution manager 7.1. Now I want to suspend a system for the monitoring for a given time. That is, because of some maintenance activity, we need to remove a system for 4 hours from 12.00 in the night. If the system is in the monitoring segmnet, many alert mail will generate (Mail alert is enabled) saying "partner not reached" or so. If I can suspend a system for a pre defined time, this alert mails issue will not generate. Can anyone suggest how I can configure.
Thanks in Advance

Hi,
Have you considered removing the auto reaction method (mail alert) assignment for the specific system ? You can add it back after the downtime.
Thanks,

Hi Samik,
Thanks.
I checked the auto reaction method and it is possible to disable and can be enable after downtime. But we need to specify a time slot in advance. If we disable, there will be no alert mails till the downtime starts. In this situation we need to set a time say 3.00 AM to 7.00 AM. How this possible?
Regards

Hi,
I think that can be doen through Downtime Management Calendar in System Landscape Workcenter. Check this link (Solman 7, sp 23, but may be useful for 7.1 as well)

This one has some screenshots
Thanks,
