Wildcards in Price Conditions?

Hello,

We have a requirement to apply a discount to orders.

The business wants to be able to apply different levels of discount dependent on where the material sits in the Material hierarchy.

Our material hierarchy is three levels of three e.g 001002003.

Some material are at level 001, some at 001002 and some at 001002003.

Most of this discounts we are wanting to apply are at the second level but we want this discount to cascade to the level three materails as well.

I have tried to set up a pricing condition at the 001002 level but this only affects materials with the specific hierarchy code it doesn't cascade to the materials stored as the level 3 eg. 001002003....

I have tried using wildcards, and storing the condition as 001002*, 001002%, 001002??? & 001002___.

These do not get picked up.

Has anyone any ideas?

Regards

Alan

I don't think you can use wild cards in the pricing condition records. You need to create condition records at each level of the hierarchy.

I recommend to check for alternatives like, use of material group field in the pricing, which may fulfill your requirements.
