Error message required while selecting expired batch

Dear  All,

I need to restrict the user to select a batch that is already expired while creating a sales order.(error message or warning message required)

Hi Ravi,

          You can set the Message from warning to Error UndeT.code-OVAH

May be you will get the mesaage no. as V4295 change it from W to E

The  Batch expire date can be set under T.code MSC2N

No message is coming right now. I need the message to come during sales order creation while selecting a batch that is already expired.

Is it possible in standard?

User transaction code VCH1/VCH2 to create batch search strategy record to control picking of the expired batches.

Hi Ravi,

          you can go to T.code - OVAH and Assign  Message no.295 Under V4.the msaage will be displayed in the sale order.

There is no such field in VCH1. Can you please elaborate more.

Check the configuration on the SPRO -> Logistics-General -> batch management->batch determination and batch check->define selection class. Here in the batch selection class, you need to add the filed remaining shelf life LOBM_RLZ. Once added, then in VCH1, you can add remaining shelf life as >0, in the selection criteria. By this way, the system will pick batches whose remaining shelf life is more than 0 day.

Make sure that the batch class has expiry date field assigned to it.

In our scenario we are selecting batch at sales order level Manually.

Above config is already there except self  life>0.

will this work if we selecting batch manually at sales order level, system should give error/warning message ?

Please have a look at below screen.

Batch 30/06/2012 is still coming. Did i need to add something in selection criteria apart from the below as shown.
