How to run back ground job and transper the reoprt to email id

Hi Friends

My client has a requierment they want to run a report on weekly basis, which I have configured in the system & which works perfect. Now my second requierment is the want to send the reoprt to some of their email ids. How can I configure that please provide me step by step solution.

maintain distribution lists in t-code SO15 or SO23.

Maintain the email ids there to whom you want to send the reports and use the function module .

FM to get distribution list 'SO_DLI_READ_API1'

FM to send email 'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1'

Thanking you for the valuable advice but i have maintain distribution list but i dont know wether the FM is assigned for the particular program/report .what i will do now ?? shall I take any technical consultant help?? other report are working fine Please suggest me.

Yes santosh,

You need to take technical help as if distribution list is maintained and the FM is used in the report then it should work fine.

may be there can be two posibilities

1: The FM is not at all used in the report

2: FM is usd but there is some logc problem in  the report so correct distribution list is not coming and hence report not going via email...

Hi,

there is no need to worry if the FM is being used.

Setup the job in background mode and assigned in your distribution list to the recipent.

When the job ended, system will send it to them.

However, 2 possibles does happened here.

a. sending to User SAP account

b. sending to User internet mail account.

The output will be different as the format may not be the same.

This will depend on the configuration in SCOT.

check with basis team on this setting.
