Excise in Sub delivery free of charge

Dear Gurus

I read that for excise calculation in Sub delivery free of charge, we have to make base price as statistical. But the item category KLN is not relevant for pricing then how is it possible to have pricing in it.Simlilar is the case of BOM child items (with ERLA) where the child items are not relevant for pricing.How can we calculate exsice on it?

The basic principle of excise duty calculation is to be charged on the assessable value.  That is selling price less discount if any.  Having said this, you have to arrive at a logic as to how you want the billing to happen.  From your comments, it seems, the scenario is client is dispatching some free of charge material for which, you want to debit only for ED.  If this is what your process is, then have a new pricing procedure where you have to set PR00 as statistical with ED condition type to post to FI.
