PPDS Planned Orders Getting Created in SNP run

Hi

SNP output generates Planned orders with category AI(PlOrd.).

In our designed scenario, all planned orders should be of category EE(SNP:PL-ORD)

Please note, before each SNP run,we delete all planned orders.
There is no planned order create in ECC.

Can you please help to find the reason and a solution to solve this issue?

Hi,

the issue is also explained here: http://scn.sap.com/message/13400110

When you delete an SNP order while it is already present in ECC and the deletion signal is stuck or deleted (and does not reach ECC), a change in the ECC side (ie. an MRP even if the product is X0) or a CCR (as explained above) will produce a PPDS order in APO.

Hi Pradipta,

Another proof how this can happen: http://scn.sap.com/thread/3246408

- in CCR report , inconsistency is found. on clearing this inconsistency , i get a PPDS order created in APO.

Hi Pradipta,

The original issue can happen when SNP order are created and sent to ECC system.

Afterwards, they're deleted in APO. However the deletion is not sent to ECC.

So, orders exist only in ECC system but not in SCM sytsem.

Then using CCR report the orders are sent from ECC to APO. As the result you have

PPDS planned orders in SCM system.

Hi Pradipta,

Just check this out.

1.  Have u kept immediate transfer of orders to ECC in SNP setting?

2.  In your CFM2 for planned orders have you maintained "transfer Planned orders as SNP planned orders" ?

Otherwise I see no reason for this behavior.

Dear Nitin

Point 1 is maintained Immediate transfer.

Point 2 was not maintained in our background job, I have maintained it now.

I will check our next SNP result on 01.10.2012 and reply with the result.

Hi Vinay

Sorry for the delay in replying your question.

In our scenario, no PPDS planned orders should generate after SNP optimiser run.

But we found there are few PPDS planned orders getting generated.

So I want to understand the reason of this and a solution to it, where no PPDS planned orders should not generate in our SCM system.

Hope it clarifies your question.

Kind regards
