Hi,
currently we have a CI instance and a App instance running for my BI.
All the background jobs do not specific execution target to select group.
I would like to know is there any possible way to limit example all background job to go to a particular server without setting the group in SM61, due to no execution target entered in the job. the reason is there is huge amount of BI jobs and the user does not educated to fill the field up everytime when they schedule it.
what i can think of is to remove the background job from RZ04, but this will terminate instantly all background processes running which i dont want.
wonder any alternative way for this?
thanks
Hi Ben,
The best is to meet the users who run the jobs and train them or educate them of the process. Put sanctions like if they will not input a target server, you will cancel their job.
This, i think, is just a matter of discipline for your users. You have to help each other to maintain a good performance of the system.
Cheers,
Rod
