SAP HANA - Performance

Hi people! Yesterday I finish training about SAP Hana 1.0 HA300 and appears be a very good tool for data extraction and BI.

I have a doubt, is possible use HANA to speed up programs that use large data selection in ERP? Here I have some programs with performance problem 'cause a long data selection on database. Exist any way to bring data directly from hana to abap program?
