Which saprouter version ?

Hello,

Planing to upgrade old saprouter hardware+software. Target OS Linux.

Not sure what version I should pick.  Looks like there are two places to download:

1. Additional Components -> SAPROUTER

2. Additional Components -> SAP Kernel ->....Database independent

First download path contains v7.0 v7.10

Saprouter which comes with kernel seems to be more recent but it's packed with exact kernel version - our SAP landscape consists of a few SAP versions so different kernels exist(including 640, 700, ...) ???

Which version do I need ??   

From path "1." or path "2." ?

You need to download sap router from service.sap.com - Downloads - SAP Software Distribution Center – Download - Support Packages and Patches - Additional Components – SAPROUTER - SAPROUTER 7.10 - SAPROUTER 7.10 - Select Your Operating System Version (Linux IA/X86) .

SAPRouter should work regardless of your SAP version, so use 7.10, it should work fine with all your releases.

Thanks but:

Platform x64 Linux.

Two saprouters:

Additional Components -> SAPROUTER -> SAPROUTER 7.10 -> Linux on x86_64 64bit -> saprouter_4-20002414.sar

Additional Components -> SAP Kernel -> SAP KERNEL 64-BIT UNICODE -> SAP KERNEL 7.20 64-BIT UNICODE -> Linux on x86_64 64bit -> #Database independent -> saprouter_314-10007264.sar

What is the difference between those ?

I checked archive contents they are obviously not the same versions.

Hi, i have same issue. Wanted to upgrade saprouter, but stuck in versions. Now i have three saprouters, each have different version. What version is best for my landscape and why version 40.4 compiled before 38.10? All servers is NW 702.
